Description
Once again, originally, this name referred to an 1800’s UK beer. But after the craft beer revolution, Pale Ale led to brewers and consumers wanting to ramp up the action, so IPA now is an American style that’s more highly hopped and higher in alcohol than its younger brother, Pale Ale. New variations like Hazy IPA have come along, but the flavour and aroma profiles are essentially the same. Lots of hops and plenty of body. In our view, it’s still important to have some balance,e but a lot of brewers disagree with us and hop theirs up to crazy levels. Each to their own!
