Old Coast Rd Pilsner
A Czech-style beer. A lager but differentiated from an Aussie lager by the use of Czech hops such as the Saaz variety giving a distinctive flavour and aroma. Malt is typically European barley, but in our case, we use a local malt from Mallokup Malthouse in Capel WA.

Old Coast Rd IPA
Once again, originally, this name referred to an 1800’s UK beer. But after the craft beer revolution, Pale Ale led to brewers and consumers wanting to ramp up the action, so IPA now is an American style that’s more highly hopped and higher in alcohol than its younger brother, Pale Ale. New variations like Hazy IPA have come along, but the flavour and aroma profiles are essentially the same. Lots of hops and plenty of body. In our view, it’s still important to have some balance,e but a lot of brewers disagree with us and hop theirs up to crazy levels. Each to their own!

Old Coast Rd Pilsner Midstrength
A Czech-style beer. A lager is differentiated from an Aussie lager by using Czech hops such as the Saaz variety, giving a distinctive flavour and aroma. We’ve fermented through to a lower-strength alcohol than our regular pilsner, making it the ideal beer for a hot summer day. Malt is typically European barley, but in our case, we use a local malt from Mallokup Malthouse in Capel, WA.

Old Coast Rd Porter
One of our most highly awarded beers. Has won best beer in WA in the stout class. A style that originated in London UK and differentiated from the Stouts of Dublin, Ireland by being slightly lighter in colour and slightly higher in alcohol making it a tad sweeter and not quite as roasted or chocolaty in flavour. You should be able to hold a porter up to the light and just be able to see the dark ruby hue. You shouldn’t be able to see through a stout at all.
